Welcome to Intework

Intework is a dynamic, progressive organisation that has a strong service-focus and community orientation and is dedicated to improving the quality of life of people with disabilities.

Intework was set up in 1991 with the help and support of a group of parents who wanted an agency to offer a higher than normal amount of support for people wanting to get a job in the community.

Intework started with a small office at Osborne Park serving about 30 people.  In 1996 Intework participated in the State Government's new Post School Options program called Alternatives to Employment.  Through our participation we gained a sound reputation for quality service delivery and successful outcomes for people in greatest need, and in 1998 we started the LifeSkills Plus program.

Since then, Intework has grown to seven regional offices at Osborne Park, Stirling, Midland, Gosnells, Joondalup, Peel and Busselton and assists more than 600 people in Perth's metropolitan area.  Our aim is to promote and enhance the potential of people with disabilities as able and valued contributors to an integrated community.

We are committed to developing opportunities for people with disabilities to obtain and maintain jobs in the community, and to take part in community activities that teach people life skills and other community living skills.
