Our Services
Intework provides a variety of services to both people with disabilities and Employers in many different industries. They include:

Intework provides two major services with four core programs: Open Employment (Disability Employment Services- DES), Business Services (Australian Disability Enterprises – ADE), Lifeskills Plus (Lifeskills) and Respite Services.
Intework offers flexible, dynamic and holistic services that focus on people reaching their potential and recognises the importance of providing opportunities for people with disabilities to achieve their dreams and aspirations. The Lifeskills, ADE and DES Programs offer a continuum of services for clients with the flexibility to move within and between programs as their needs, skills and aspirations change.
Intework’s point of difference is our emphasis on developing and promoting each individual, regardless of their personal challenges. We are committed to upholding the individual aspirations of people with a disability. This is achieved primarily through individualised, responsive service programming and structured support and training opportunities designed to match their needs.
Intework achieves success by having a flexible and responsive model which adapts to the changing needs of each individual and works in partnership with other service providers and a variety of government departments such as the Department of Education and Training. This ensures individuals have the choice/opportunity of furthering their education as well as progressing through and between alternative to employment (Lifeskills), supported employment (ADE) and into the general employment environment (DES) as their skills and confidence develop.
Employment Services
Our Employment programs assist people with disabilities to secure and maintain employment in the workforce. Funding is received from the Commonwealth Departments of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs and Education, Employment and Workplace Relations to assist us to deliver services that are individualised, professional and responsive.
Intework does not discriminate in regard to age, race, religion or gender. All eligible applicants and clients will be entitled to the same high quality of service, driven by our commitment to help and care for people with disabilities in Western Australia.
Lifeskills Plus
Lifeskills Plus offers a variety of services with a key focus on skills development such as independent living, health and fitness, personal and social interactions, numeracy and literacy, artistic and vocational skills. Lifeskills Plus offers programs through two service options:
- Lifeskills: community access program (Alternatives to Employment and Post School Options)
- Respite: one-off or ongoing respite opportunities both within a Lifeskills centre or in the community. Day and evening service opportunities (Respite, Intensive Family Support) are available.
Intework’s Lifeskills program continues to grow at a rate that makes it currently the largest provider of Alternative to Employment services in the State.
The State Government, through the Disability Services Commission, has made available additional funding to families (where the service recipient is under 25 years of age), who already receive Commission ‘Alternative to Employment’ assistance. This ‘expanded’ funding has given families extra service contact and the opportunity to work with Intework in developing programs that continues to reflect personal choice over the extended service hours.
