Annual Report Good News Story
The ideal aim or goal for clients in Supported Employment, is to up skill and to work in Open Employment. Dale Clark is one of these success stories.
Dale has been an employee of Car Crew Central through the Australian Disability Enterprises program (formerly known as Business Services Stirling) for many years. During this time Dale has continually increased his employment skills with the support of Skills Trainers. Dale worked very hard in the Car Crew to develop customer service skills and he has shown a terrific ability to work as a valued team member. After achieving all of this Dale requested a change and was keen to take on some new challenges, so with the home support Dale was receiving from My Place a plan was put into action with Intework. Dale was assisted by Lidia Stevenson (Employment Services Manager) and Andy Hulme (DES Technical Expert) to take part in an assessment that would see Dale transfer to Intework’s Open Employment Program.
Now Dale and the DES staff are working towards finding employment as a glass collector in a hotel / tavern environment which would fulfil the next goal that Dale wants to achieve. Well done Dale. All your work colleagues in ADE wish you all the best for your future career.
