Aidan Armstrong; a Special Olympian
Aidan, accesses programs in our Northern region and has recently returned from the IX National games for Special Olympics in Adelaide winning 1 Gold ,1 Silver and 1 Bronze medal for individual and team ten pin bowling. This is a terrific achievement by Aidan
There were 12 Olympic sports represented including athletics, aquatics, basketball, gymnastics, softball and ten pin bowling. The games that are held every 4 years, brought together almost 1,000 athletes from all over Australia, making these the largest games so far.
In all, WA Special Olympians came home with 23 gold medals, 13 silver medals and 18 bronze medals.
